Love what you guys are doing. I fully electrified my house and have saved $23,000 in two years, about a 10% return. I thought 'brilliant, everyone will be interested in saving money!' I then set up a little gallery showing the available technology and tried to do engage with people to look at their situation and advise a step by step process to electrify and save money. However, there was only limited interest. Why? Not entirely sure, but think that's the question we need to answer. Probably people aren't really interested in investing to save money, they have no 5 or 10 year financial plan. Incentives that have little up front cost seem to be absolutely necessary for large scale uptake [which is why Rewiring Aotearoa is advocating strongly for low-interest electrification loans that are tied to the property].
